Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed, also known as “Fanah,” is a highly experienced researcher from Somalia with a diverse professional background spanning several countries. Fluent in Somali, English, and Arabic, Mohamed holds degrees in both administration and journalism. His career highlights include conducting research on the crises in Somalia, contributing to an investigative documentary on the civil war history of Somalia, and participating in Amnesty International’s research project in Somalia. With a strong foundation in media relations,
Mohamed has served as a Press & Liaison Officer for AMISOM and UNSOM, coordinating media engagements and shaping public narratives. His career also includes roles as a Special Correspondent for the Washington Post Newspaper. In his earlier career, Mr. Mohamed also worked for private companies including Sundus Trading Centre as an agent. Additionally, he was involved in the restructuring of the education system after the civil war, serving as an instructor and principal of secondary schools. These experiences and his commitment to integrity have equipped Mohamed to demonstrate dedication to storytelling and amplifying marginalized voices.
